Types of facial speech features
Lip contour features (external / external&internal lip contour):
- spatial position;
- moments, Fourier descriptors;
- contour model parameters (-geometrical models: ellipsoidal; parabolic; -deformable templates; -snakes; -B-splines)
Geometrical features:
- mouth width and height;
- mouth area; lip perimeter;
Statistical model-based features:
- feature vector of spatial positions: ASM (Active Shape Models)
- feature vector of gray level profiles: AAM (Active Appearance Models)
Image-based features:
- raw image of the mouth ROI: gray level or binary image
- PCA; DWT; DCT
